3LSHIFT Emotional Healing Module — SHAPE Teens Mentorship

A teen-friendly healing journey at Beyond Sasa CBO using the 3LSHIFT steps: Letting Out, Letting Go, and Letting In — to build resilience, hope, and healthy relationships.

The 3LSHIFT module creates safe spaces for youth to process emotions and move toward healing. Each step includes activities, mentor tips, and measurable outcomes. This curriculum complements SHAPE (Spiritual Gifts, Heart, Abilities, Personality, Experiences) by clearing emotional blocks so teens can thrive.

Objective: Provide healthy, safe channels for teens to express emotions and experiences without judgment.

  • Activities: Journaling prompts, art therapy, music/poetry sharing circles.
  • Tools: Feeling-wheel, emotion check-ins, mentor debrief sheets.
  • Outcome: Reduced emotional bottling; increased trust and openness.

Objective: Guide teens through forgiveness, reframing, and releasing painful memories that keep them stuck.

  • Activities: Forgiveness workshop, symbolic release (balloon letters / stone drop), reframing statements.
  • Tools: Forgiveness ladder, cognitive reframing cards, mentor prayer/meditation guide.
  • Outcome: Lighter emotional load; renewed willingness to move forward.

Objective: Help teens invite positive beliefs, love, and hope, building daily practices that sustain wellness.

  • Activities: Gratitude journaling, affirmation crafting, guided meditation & prayer.
  • Tools: Affirmation cards, gratitude tracker, habit-stacking checklist.
  • Outcome: Increased optimism, self-compassion, and resilience.
Important: This module is mentorship and education—not clinical therapy. If a teen shows signs of crisis (self-harm, abuse, severe depression), contact guardians and refer to a licensed counselor or local helpline immediately.
