🎓 How Teen Mentee Arnold Solved a School Problem Using the RDCS (Reality, Dissatisfaction, Creativity, Speak) Strategy
🧠Feedback Reflection Exercise: Using the RDCS Strategy to Solve Real Problems
In this session (11-06-2025), our mentees were introduced to the RDCS Strategy — a practical 4-step approach designed to help teenagers reflect, process, and actively respond to real-life challenges. RDCS stands for:
I lack the courage to stand in class and answer a question because of the fear of that. I think the answer is wrong. But I have the correct answer. In the previous class, I used to answer questions, but now I can't.
Dissatisfaction – What about it feels wrong, unjust, or needs to change?
I feel disappointed in myself because I know the answer, but fear is in me. It makes me feel bad and impatient.
Creativity – What possible solutions or new approaches can be explored?
I am going to seek advice from my group members, teachers on how the fear in me can go out of me. And I can regain my habit of answering questions. And I will also train myself to build my confidence and courage.

Speak – How can I confidently express my thoughts and take action?
This method equips teens with a structured way to think through difficulties in school, at home, or in relationships — empowering them to own their voice and growth journey.
🗣️ In this exercise, each mentee selected a real challenge they faced and applied the RDCS model to break it down and respond intentionally. For example, Arnold bravely tackled a school-related issue using RDCS, and his work is featured below.
