🧠 Feedback Reflection Exercise: Using the RDCS Strategy to Solve Real Problems

In this session (08-06-2025), our mentees were introduced to the RDCS Strategy — a practical 4-step approach designed to help teenagers reflect, process, and actively respond to real-life challenges. RDCS stands for:

Reality – What is the current situation or problem?

The problem we as Christians face in the church is a lack of proper musical instruments, leading to poor communication from the pastor to the listeners.

Dissatisfaction – What about it feels wrong, unjust, or needs to change?

I feel bad and sometimes feel disappointed that my hobby is to play drums and keyboard, but we are lacking them in our church.

Creativity – What possible solutions or new approaches can be explored?

  1. Encourage my fellow Christians at the church to save a little to improve the church by buying musical instruments.
  2. Believe that God is there to fulfill our needs in church and that we should pray and believe God can do it.

Speak – How can I confidently express my thoughts and take action?

This method equips teens with a structured way to think through difficulties in school, at home, or in relationships — empowering them to own their voice and growth journey.

🗣️ In this exercise, each mentee selected a real challenge they faced and applied the RDCS model to break it down and respond intentionally. For example, Arnold bravely tackled a school-related issue using RDCS, and his work is featured below.
