📝 Session 1 Reflection Paragraph: What Is Your Voice?
By Dennis | SHAPE Teens Mentorship – 13th July 2025
As I reflect on what I learned in Session 1 of the SHAPE Teens Mentorship, I now understand that my voice is not just what people hear when I speak — it is a mirror of who I am inside. Proverbs 18:21 showed me that my tongue holds the power to bring life or death, so I must choose my words carefully if I want good outcomes in my life. Psalm 45:1 helped me see that my tongue is like a pen that tells my story, and what I say should come from a heart full of good things. I learned that when I fill my heart with God’s truth and love, my voice will reflect kindness, honesty, and strength. My voice can be used to praise God, inspire others, and express who I am in a way that honors Him. That’s why I now believe it is so important to always think before I speak.

🔁 RDCS Follow-Up Program (Reality – Dissatisfaction – Creativity – Speak)
As part of the SHAPE Teens Mentorship, we provide a personalized follow-up process after identifying a challenge through the RDCS method across the four environments: Home, School, Village, and Church.
In this follow-up session, the mentee — [Mentee’s Name] — is supported to open up further through real-time, in-depth conversations using precise, open-ended questions. This safe space allows [Mentee’s Name] to reflect more deeply, gain clarity, and discover possible solutions before the issue becomes critical.
At this stage, we guide [Mentee’s Name] through the 3L Conversational Framework:
✅ Letting Out – Expressing emotions, thoughts, and facts openly.
✅ Letting Go – Releasing emotional weight, confusion, or unhelpful beliefs.
✅ Letting In – Welcoming truth, support, and new ways of thinking.
